by Moth Static

Ten thank-you notes in song form, written to teachers, buskers, strangers and the night bus.

  3. 3. Thank You Kindly, Stranger with the LadderI dropped my keys down a drain and a stranger appeared with a ladder. I've still never thanked them properly, so here's a song.dream pop, bedroom pop3:08

  10. 10. Thank You for the Song, Corner BuskerThe closer is for the busker by the stairs who plays every morning whether anyone's listening or not. Thank you, truly.dream pop, shoegaze3:56

Liner notes

Somewhere around our thirteenth year as a band I realised half my songs were secretly thank-you letters. This record just says it out loud. It's got a heatwave breaking, a rooftop supper, a teacher with chalk on his sleeve, and one very important late-bus apology. We recorded it in the same flat, on the same wobbly tape, with the windows open for the first time in years.
