Lyrics
The old cinema is closing down The last show plays at nine The seats are worn, the curtain's red The light is soft and fine Sit close, sit close The last show plays at nine Sit close, sit close We'll watch till the light goes out Sit close, sit close My mother held my hand right here When I was very small Now I hold hers in the dark And that is all, that is all Sit close, sit close The last show plays at nine Sit close, sit close We'll watch till the light goes out Sit close, sit close The screen goes dim, the screen goes dim We clap, we clap, and then we stay Sit close, sit close The last show plays at nine Sit close, sit close We'll watch till the light goes out Sit close, sit close Sit close Sit close
