Lyrics
The water rises, slow and black The gate swings open wide A lantern hangs upon the post And a boat drifts in beside Come on through, come on through The lantern's lit for you Rise with the water, rise with the water Come on through I turn the wheel by moonlight One small turn, then rest The barges sleep in a quiet line Each one a floating nest Come on through, come on through The lantern's lit for you Rise with the water, rise with the water Come on through Every night the same slow door Between the low and high And I wave you gently on Underneath the sky Come on through, come on through The lantern's lit for you Rise with the water, rise with the water Come on through The lantern's lit Come on through
