Liner notes

Old friends, old rooms, old shoes in the closet: this album is full of things I almost lost. I wrote it the year my mum started walking slower, and it changed how I sang everything. We had a bigger band this time, with a horn section on a couple of tracks, but I kept the lead vocal low and close. It is the most tender record I've made.
