by Odalys Fern

Rain on platforms and umbrellas shared with strangers, then a heat-lightning night with every window open.

  9. 9. Umbrella Left on the Seat, Empty CarriageRain on a train window, late and nearly empty, with an umbrella left on a seat. Someone will come back for it, I think.hopeful ambient, choral pop4:28
  10. 10. Lighthouse Lens, Last Turn Before DawnA lighthouse lens turning a silver sweep across the deep. I ended the album with the longest, slowest turn.maritime ambient, choral drone4:10

Liner notes

I split this record in two on purpose: the first half is spring rain and trains, the second half is hot nights with the windows wide open. In between there's one slow dance floor going dark. It's the most lush thing I've made, with a full choir of me and the slowest arpeggios I could build, and I hope it feels like staring out of a window all year round.
