Their story
Dusty drove freight across the Southwest for twenty years, writing verses on receipt pads at truck stops. He cut his first record, Diesel Hymns, in 2008 in a friend's converted garage, and it spread by word of mouth along the interstates. The follow-ups Second Wind Motel (2012) and Mile Marker Zero (2016) made him a heartland-rock staple, and 2020's Last Light on 40 turned his big singalong choruses into a live favourite. He still tours in a secondhand van and is known for ending every show with the same slow hymn.
Influences: Truck-stop radio gospel, 70s heartland rock, outlaw country storytellers, late-night AM preachers

- Happy Friday, road family. Hank's Garage, Again has been out a while now, and I'm already itching for the next one. Just mapped out a little EP called Halloween on the Interstate: fog banks, empty truck stops, ghost stories on the CB, and a lit-up diner at dawn. Thanks to everybody who keeps "Quarter Past Three, Nobody Calling" on the late-night rotation. Keep your coffee hot and your headlights clean.
